I remember the day my life changed, the day I found my most-loved film. The story is about two girls and a magical horn that is kept safe by a poor old man and they go on this journey to find it. It was magic to me; it was like we watched the same episode every night after school, but we had different experiences with each version of this classic Disney film. Sometimes we would laugh when Dumbo learned how to fly, sometimes we would cry when Minnie's aunt died and it felt like our friendship wasn't strong enough for us to endure such emotional intensity. I love this film because I believe that the purpose of life cannot be found in any test score or report card, but in your friendship with others. This movie broke me down and built me up again, though there have been times where I felt so broken I thought I would never become whole again. My father had just passed away unexpectedly at 55 years old. He was a big part of my life growing up, always teaching us new things whether it was how to ride a bike or how to mow the lawn. My dad's passing seemed unreal, it seemed like he was still walking around our house doing chores like every other day. My mother was so distraught from the loss of her husband that I began to worry that she would fall into a state of depression. Needless to say, I was desperate for answers and answers soon came. JK Rowling's Harry Potter series has been one of the most widespread fantasy series in history, with over 400 million copies sold collectively world-wide. After reading her books, I began collecting all of my friends' opinion on this series, each one sharing their own stories on how they became enthralled by Rowling's works. cfa1e77820
